The following story offers multiple POVs. The first is from the POV of a retired Hollywood special effects artist who used to work for Industrial Light & Magic back during the 1980s-90s. My name is Alan Taylor. I'm a retired (sort-of) Hollywood special effects/makeup guy. At one point in my career, I was considered THE authority in my field. Think back to your favorite sci-fi/horror film from the 1980s-90s? You can bet that I had a hand in it. Being the artist that I am, I even installed realistic replicas of human organs inside the fake cast, so when the coroner cuts into the "body", viewers at home can see "Madeleine's" heart, lungs, etc.

With the real Madeleine positioned under the table (and her face making one last "silly face" at the camera before she had to remain closed eyed and motionless again) and her fake body laid on the table connecting with her neck, the coroner picked up a bone saw and cut into her chest, next prying it open and revealing her internal organs displayed just underneath her dreamy, peaceful-looking face.
