I am not here to moralise, preach or anything like that, so if that is your thing, then that is your thing. All I am saying is you will not find it in MY stories.

Similarly, I am not going to preach then thing about you should not follow what is in the stories, separate fiction from reality like many authors do, because it isn't my place and you will do whatever you want to do!

For those living outside of the UK, you may not be familiar with the term 'old bill'. This is a common slang term used to refer to the police. Its actual origin is unclear although the website of London's Metropolitan Police offers 16 different possibilities.

Personally I think it comes from the name of the founder of the Met Police one William (Bill) Peel but you can make your own mind up.

Great story, but a small correction. Sir Robert Peel was the founder of the Met Police, and for that reason, they are called bobbies. I think the term Old Bill goes back before the time of Sir Robert (ca 1860).
