I cry the tears of your fearful eyes
Still haunt me in my sleep
Is restless and unfulfilled
Dreams so close I could feel them
Slipping away as you pulled your
Gloved hand from my touch,
And spurning my embrace
Turned tail and ran away

My fleeting caress upon you cheek
Was so much softer than the lips
I brushed with greatest rapture
Flooded my soul with exquisite joy
That you did not pull away
My heart flew on passion's wings
Fluttered, tickling my neck
Burned with the excitement

Your carmine lips erupted
In radiant smile shone brighter than
Your eyes grew large when hearing
Praises you had never heard before
You liked to hear your beauty
Beheld by a man you did not know
His foreign voice so much more valid
Than the voices of the known

Yet fear you thought you felt
Excitement but you were not sure
If this new feeling was what
You thought it was a signal to
Turn and run from an alien
New emotion was released and
Can no longer be contained-
You think of me-

Or so I hope you do
As much as I of you
Of days we could have spent
In blissful embrace and showering
Your lips with tender kisses
I would show you how I mean no harm
To come to you, my little love-
But alas, these days shall never come

Your ephemeral kiss it was so sweet
That I wished it would never end
And when it did I could not stop
My hands reaching out for more
And reach they did but much too fast
To capture the heart of my little love
Is forever lost - for I have made her
Fear me even as she longs
