   Gentle reader, supposing such a thing still exists:

   If you're eager to tear into the story, go. If you're worried
   about what you might find there, this preface might help.

   This story is a romance (more loosely defined than some might
   like) and a swashbuckling battle between right and wrong, with
   some hopefully entertaining scenery and good laughs on the way.
   You might also find that it causes you to engage mental faculties
   in unexpected modes.

   Sure, there is sex in this story, of varieties that will probably
   never find acceptance in a NYT bestselling novel (unless I'm
   reading the wrong bestsellers); but will hopefully satiate the
   hard-core stroke-seeking lurker, which is why it finds its home
   at asstr-mirror.org.

   It's my first effort at an extended, blatantly sexual story, in
   the science fiction genre. It's pretty typical pulp, quite
   frankly, with the usual clich�sort of gadgets and devices and so
   on one has become accustomed to encountering in such narrations.

   Well, along with my usual stuff -- older man has wet and wild sex
   with a nice young lesbian, couched between veiled allegorical
   social/political commentary and satire. If you were guessing that
   I seek to blur the line between literature and pornography, you
   would be right.

   At first, I put the all the codes in the heading of each part.
   But that's a little scary, and not really accurate. Some of the
   sections don't have any sex at all. The most extreme sexual
   activity flashes by so fast you almost might not even notice it.
   Plus, representing the summary of the story as a set of boxed-in
   categories doesn't really do it justice.

   On the other hand, it seems fair to warn readers of sexual
   activities they might hope (or fear) to encounter.

   On the other hand, the only serious complaint I've received so
   far in this venture was on account of political content. Hint:
   Jesus was a "liberal." If this idea squicks you, cease
   immediately. From everything.
