Hammon Wry's Words of the Day for Wednesday February 19, 2003

Note: Due to copyright laws, I am hesitant to include the definitions
and pronunciations of the words of the day.  I have provided the
websites for each so that you can look up the words for yourself.  

This is an excersize in writing discipline.  I am trying to get into
the habit of writing something every day.  I figure if I use the words
of the day from two sources in a sexual context, I will have
inspiration and motivation.

It's time for another haika*. 

scold me for my want
upbraid me for arousal
drown the need again

rub away with sand
soft lines glow on palimsest
they can't be hidden

they still remain for
all to read, testimony
to my fallen state

suppress the nature
deny the pleasant aching
bury it down deep

It rushes back up
clawing at my skin inside
pleading to be fed

In the fall of night
mouth engulfs forbidden fruit
blooming almond rod

taste the velvet skin
caress the hardened shaft
sheath it deep within


Hammon Wry
*Haika (also haiki) is the longer form of the three-line Japanese
haiku.  This ancient artform is deceptively simple.  The formula runs
in three lines, with the syllables of the words in this form:  5/7/5.

haika consists of several haiku (3, 5, 7, 9--all odd numbers) that are
strung together like pearls to tell a story, or all reflect on a
theme.
