a blinding storm
your pain's votary

clarity wakes
and time goes still
awareness blossoms
incline with will
toward the upraised cane
I'll take my fill
of your bright pain

so rise the marks
against your skin
a pleasing sight
so stills the din
of day-to-day
with time I'll win
your thoughts my way

I'll take the whist 
of rattan cane
I'll feel the arc
before the pain
and as my cares 
begin to wane
I'll be the one who shares
