Edgewater/Fort Lee, NJ, April 1992

Abducted by Lilith and Abel on April 10, 1992, Laurie Fallon, 26, was the
10th pregnant woman taken. All previous victims having been found murdered,
few expected Laurie to survive. The press and police had her dead and
buried, part of the record of "this serial murder mess," as it was termed
by them, long before they had verified Laurie's identity.

Henry Whitman, 49, did not know he was the father of Laurie's child. She
was not sure she loved him, she had told her best friend Angela. She said
she did not want either of them to feel trapped. After all Henry was
twenty-three years older, married and divorced several times. He had many
children. He didn't need another, Laurie explained.

A graduate of Columbia University, former college professor and a solider
and medic in Vietnam, Henry had struggled with depression for years and now
wrote poetry while driving a taxi cab for Hudson Street Fleets, ground
zero, George Washington Memorial Bridge, Fort Lee, NJ.

Laurie, falling in love with Henry, had given up drugs and those easy
excuses for failures. Nonetheless, tragedy followed her home that April
night from the Gables Pub where she had once worked as an exotic dancer.

One of the dancers, Dolores, had told the press that Laurie never had
looked better. Dolores said "I was jealous of her good luck. I remember
asking her if she would come back to dance after the baby was born." She
said Laurie had told her quietly, with a smile, "I will miss it, but I will
never do it again. Henry would like it too much."

Henry distraught told his best friend Aaron soon after Laurie was reported
missing, "Can you imagine her not alive."

In those months after Laurie was taken, she became more than an America
tragedy and another victim in a river of scenes from our daily prurient
hell.

She was "all of us" as the news columnist said, "once upon a time in the
murder movie called Psycopathia Americana Sexualis.
