Hi! We're Peaches & Cream. We're just two ordinary Joes who like
reading and romance. Recently, there was a Summer Solstice Romance
Festival on ASSM, and it caught our attention. We started discussing
the stories and our reviews were born. Our format is simple: one of us
starts the review, the other chimes in, and then the starter finishes
it off. Because this is all about romance, we'll be scoring with 0-5
kisses. We'll be posting a review a day until we finish the stories
that were submitted, beginning with the Flash stories.

Cream:

He's home early because the air-conditioning at work has failed.
Wouldn't you know it, at home he discovers the air-conditioner isn't
working, either. Luckily, his wife has called the repairman.  While
they wait she finds a hot way for him to cool her off.

What I especially enjoyed about this story is the easy romantic tone
of the couple's connection.  Peaches, we're more than half-way through
these Flash-Rom stories now, and though they all touch on romance in
one way or another, I must admit I'm a little disappointed that so few
of them feature truly loving couples in truly romantic moments of
connection.  Here, at least, we have the traditional romantic tone.
In a way it's a breath of fresh air.  That said, this story isn't
fully satisfying. It has the tone and the characters and the setting,
but the sex falls a little short.

I gather she's not wearing panties under her simple cotton dress.  For
me that's the sexiest part of this sex. And a good touch it is; it's
also kind of neat that he doesn't seem surprised. Another nice touch.
It's that "secret white space" I want the author to help me with, that
tidal wave of pleasure.  I find myself going back to that gap,
conjuring up the flood.  Is it fair I have to do so much work myself?
Okay, I admit it, I'm lazy, and part of me applauds this approach.
Working out the various aspects of that missing moment isn't a bad way
to spend a few minutes.

The ending is snappy and fun and not perhaps so simple as it might
appear on the surface. In short, a really good-natured story.  I like
it a lot. The overly complicated little explanation of how they come
to be in El Paso and the perhaps incredibility of her saying  "the
baby," instead of the child's name or pet name notwithstanding, this
is a real keeper. Four and three quarters kisses.

Peaches:

My favorite moment is when she spins around and has him blow on her
neck to cool her off. It's ordinary and yet, it's so sexy! One of
those little things that happy couples do. Of course I had to wonder
how his breath was so cool, maybe he had an iced lemonade on the way
home. 

I also have to agree about the sex, well, more the conclusion of the
sex:

>After the tidal wave of pleasure had receded, she thought to ask, "Didn't you have class >today?"

It seemed almost like a Dom and sub, he serviced her and that was
that. I think the interruption from the repairman could have at least
come when she was trying to return the favor. Still, a nice romantic
story. I give it 4 kisses

Cream:

Yes, the relationship is a little "one-sided." But there's some charm
in it. And it seems real.  What I wonder is: if she were to give him a
choice of waiting for his "favor" or blowing the repairman off, which
would he choose? I suppose there are also some "compromises" that
other sex stories might have explored.
