I washed my hair today
I'd been afraid of washing 
away the memory. 

I wanted the scent of you
To linger on, hidden
In my hair.

For three days,
I'd pull my hair across 
my face,
inhale.
I'd smell 
The scent of a summer night
The must of sex

It lingered
Three days.
I'd think of you
Remember your scent
And wish it hadn't ended. 

I want you again.

Now, I pull it across my face, smell nothing 
But shampoo
And I wish for another chance to 
Scent my hair
On your sex again.
