It must have been my mood that morning. I was thoughtful, contemplative.
I found myself entranced with the sight of my naked body as I stepped into
the shower. In the large mirror, my eyes traced the contours of my body.
My gaze swooped through the curves of my grapefruit-sized breasts, down
through the hourglass of my waist and hips, past the dark hair of my sex,
and over my long, well-muscled legs.
I stepped into the shower, the clear glass slightly steamy. I continued
to watch myself in the mirror as I immersed myself in the warm flow of
water. My skin gleamed with wetness. My hair slicked back and darkened
with the water. My eyes were dark and penetrating, surrounded by wet
lashes.
I was totally spellbound by the sight of myself. I felt like I must have
been looking at someone else. Surely I could not be quite so captivating.
My body, the one that I eat and sleep and clothe every day, is more
mundane, more practical than this one that had riveted my attention. I
could not be my own object of desire.
But it was. It was all me.
I shampooed my hair, marveling at the heightened sensations of my fingers
massaging my scalp. I lathered my body, relishing the sight and feel of
my hands on the sudsy smoothness of my skin. I wash my sex, giving myself
more time and attention than usual. I conditioned my hair, watching
myself as I combed the tangles out of my long, black-looking hair. I
closed my eyes to wash my face, leaving me with no image of myself in the
mirror, but instead a heightened awareness of the warm water cascading
down my body and the steamy air entering my lungs.
After enjoying the warmth of the shower for a few more moments, I turn off
the water, grab my towel, and begin the practicalities of my day. My
sexual contemplation of my own body gives way to thoughts of my goals in
the day ahead of me.
But I know that this mood shall return in a few days, probably when I am
least expecting it. I will luxuriate in it again, enjoying every moment
of the raw sensuality of being the object of my own sexual desire.
So I wait patiently for the return of my mood.
